I imagine a lot of game crashes.

The case replacement looks neat though.

That mod has been around since the first DS came out. Besides, an ARM CPU doesn't really overclock in the same sense that your PC does. It's a balance between power consumption and clock speed.

Why would somebody pay $40 for that? Seriously.

To combat the massive slowdown in some games. Haven't you ever felt that the text displayed and menu options in Phoenix Wright games weren't going fast enough? Today people don't have time to waste with "playing games", you've got to blow through them as fast as possible or you'll lose focus and move onto something else because of a poor attention span. Games are supposed to be work, you're not supposed to take your time to enjoy playing them!! And with today's economy, how can you afford not to blow $40+ on this? :-D

I really don't get why people would overclock any console. People complain about emulation not being the same as real hardware, yet people choose to play games on hardware modified to run in ways it was never intended to. How does that make sense? The only mods that make sense to me are region mods.

Except the text in Phoenix Wright is slow because it was programmed that way, not because the DS is too slow to display it faster. I still don't understand why, but the Japanese seem to prefer it when games display text in this fashion.

I meant it as a joke, as sarcasm. Like the rest of the first paragraph. I don't find anything wrong with the Phoenix Wright games at all, they're among the best that the system has to offer. I really thought the way I wrote it was clear enough to show it was sarcastic.
