Well first ever i have such problems for my 6 years on ebay.
I just need some advices, problem similar to zach's one.
Well i bought some stuff from two sellers.
One of the items was aquarium lamp from chinese seller (about 80 or so almost 100% feedbacks). Another one was PC game from US seller called fudgedragon.
The first seller unregistered from ebay about a week after he got my payment. Although before that i got a mail saying that my item was shipped.
Well. Should i wait for item or already start claim? Or maybe it's too late already?

Second one is worse.
After about 3 weeks after payment he emailed me with some kind of bullshit "please allow seven days". I could not undrestand what he meant. I asked him but never got any respond. About week later he was flooded with negs and neutrals and some pos. Like 30 negatives for a month. About two weeks later he was unregistered. Presumply i opened dispute and escalated to claim.
Should i get my money back, what do you think?

For the first one, I wouldn't start a claim yet. Just wait a bit and see. Besides, doesn't eBay/Paypal require 30 days before starting a claim anyways?

For the second, I'd think that you'd get your money back.

I would start a claim. I believe once someone is unregistered you will automatically win a claim.

You will probably win both claims, but I kind of doubt you will recover any of your money.

So if he wins he might not get his money back how does that work?

Ebay wont cover your losses, if they cannot reclaim the payment form the seller too bad......
