WayForward developed the superb Contra 4 on DS, so I have a feeling this one will hold true to the original.

AHHHHHH!!!!! I'm so pumped for this i love the original game i have no less than 3 boxed copies plus an open beat up copy for playing. The music has literally been stuck in my head for 15 years i find myself whistling it saying... whats that tune where did this come from. I really hope they have some cool remixes of the original tune.

I was never really good at the game, but that didn't stop it from being one of my childhood favorites. Bring on the blob! :)

if you can beat the original in 4 minutes id suggest filming that and sending it to a speed run site because i think the current record is somewhere around 8-10 minutes even using those respawn glitches and coconut tricks.

It seems like it will be retail since there isn't no mention of WiiWare. If it's a big game, they would've mentioned it by now no?

Ok so it's a totoally new game. I thought it was a remake, see below for the producers words:

whoa that is a crazy speed run ive never seen that last trick going into that glitch space. but overall that run doesnt seem quite legit where are all the enemies on blobonia i didnt see him do anything to make them not show up.
