Has anyone had any experience with the www.wiidollars.com site? I searched the forums and could not find a topic on this subject. A search of the interweb has many forums that have discussions about the magazine and if it is a scam or not.

I didn't post to any of those forums, I don't want to be a member of every forum, but from the responses I was able to read, it looks like a 50/50 outcome on weather people think it is a scam or not.

I thought I would take a chance on the 4.00 introductory issue, with the 2000 point card included. They take PayPal, so that is secure from a credit card number aspect, and I can always submit a claim through PayPal to get my money back.

So my question is: Has anyone else been to www.wiidollars.com and if you subscribed or got the single issue, have you received anything?

Seems OK. I still wouldn't trust it though.

I don't have any direct experience with this website, but I don't think I would trust any website that refers to a Feburary 31st.

Seems like if you hassle them enough you will get your points:

I doubt people will get 12 months of points though

lots of comments on that other thread from people who didnt get anything after paying. it seems like only two people did actually receive anything from them. I'd steer clear of this one.

I guess what they say is true, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". That is funny, I didn't catch the referance to Feb 31st on their site.

I found their image theft to be quite dubious and negating of any inclinations towards the site.

On one of the other forums I saw someone pointing out the two images they had were cropped from another photo. I guess I didn't know where the original came from. I guess I should try to get my money back. That's the nice thing about PayPal, they will send the money back if the seller cannot prove that they shipped an item.

I placed an order at the end of January. As of now, the end of April, I have not received my order. I have emailed Wii Shop Insider Magazine on a couple of occasions with no response.

Be careful of PayPal's fraud policy. You have to put the claim in within 45 days of the initial transaction. www.wiidollars.com does state that it may take up to 6 weeks for delivery. This is pretty standard for any subscription; sometimes they arrive sooner, others at around 6 weeks.

I was unaware of the 45 day limit and I also wanted to give Wii Shop Insider the benefit of the doubt and allow a reasonable amount of time for a subscription to arrive. PayPal won't even look at my case.

I have put reports into the following organizations, maybe something will come of it:

-The Better Business Bureau
-Internet Crime Complaint Center
-National Consumers League’s Fraud Center
-Visa (www.widollars.com has a "Verified by Visa" logo on the order page)

Good luck to anyone else that was screwed.
