I dont know if anyone saw or picked up SS anthology today, any initial thoughts reviews of this compliation compared to the others SNK Playmore has made for the PS2?

For $20, it sounds like a steal, but mine is on order from amazon and it wont get here for awhile...if it was even released yet.

"SS Anthology" is a little vague. You might want to change the title.

Anyway, my order (from Amazon) hasn't shipped yet, so it's safe to say this game isn't out in any store yet. March 17th is the street date.

I believe he's referring to Samurai Showdown. And no, I wont be picking it up.

Yeah I'm not interested either. For now I have the home carts on my aes and once those are gone I dont intend to mess with the ports (though they're probably alright)

Is that for the PS2 version? I know that it is coming out on the PSP, Wii, and PS2. I wanted to get the PS2 version due to having a killer arcade stick for it.

Also just a heads up for Neo Geo owners. This compilation will have Samurai Showdown 6 on it, not available on your neo geo systems. As an owner myself of a boxed AES system modded with 23 games, I know where you are coming from. I guess even though I spent some coin to get my Samurai Showdown V special, The thought of playing these through my PS3 with crisp resolution really appeals to me. I cant wait to play it!

Oops, I forgot to clarify. Yeah, I ordered the PS2 version. I didn't even think of the other two versions.

It's weird, Amazon says the release date is March 27th, yet I saw it in a store yesterday. I'm not really a fan of fighting games, I do like beautiful 2D graphics though. Maybe I'll pick it up someday for cheap.

I'll wait until people confirm that SNK P didn't fuck this up. :p

PROTIP: The PSP version will suck to control.

I'm torn between the PS2 or Wii versions - why isn't this released on the 360?

Don't quote me on this because I'm not certain, but I heard that the Wii version doesn't support Gamecube controllers. This might not sound like much of a loss because the GCN controller isn't good for fighting games anyway but it is a big deal if you want to use an arcade stick that would plug into the GCN port.

Also, these compilations frustrate me. None of the people in my general vicinity play SNK fighters with any real consistency so, without online play, these games offer limited replay value.

I'm interested in getting it for the,PS2 and that's mainly for SS6.Though i think i'll wait untile i hear some feedback on it far as the emulation go's.Though if turns out to be terrible on the (PS2) there's all ways the wii version.

the last SNK compilation I bought on PS2 was a let down, let's hope this one is good!

Metal Slug Anthology didn't impress me much, messed up menu's and display settings really ruined an otherwise great collection. If I hadn't already bought this I would probably be excited.
