View Full Version : Final Fantasy Tactics on XBLA? Huh?

Talk about blindsided. I haven't heard a thing about it...but sure enough, it's available for download.
It's called Crystal Defenders and is a simplified version of FFT. It has the same characters, artwork, music and presentation of FFTA2 but doesn't say "Final Fantasy" anywhere in the game. Where the hell did this thing come from?

It's not a "simplified version of FFT." It's a tower defense game like PixelJunk Monsters or Savage Moon. It just uses FF themed sprites.

Yeah, it comes off as REALLY cheap. Not a bad game though, you can just tell it was done on a budget.

I believe this was a iPhone game before XBLA, which would probably explain why it's technically deficient. Still, game plays great and that's all that matters.

I picked it up, it is pretty fun if a little simplistic. Setting up 8 black mages to gang-rape a bunch of Malboros never gets old, though. :D
