Dunno if this should go in this forum or into the Tech. forum, but....As my collection grows, I was wondering what would be a plausible way to display/store my SMS games? Is there a specific kind of stand one could buy, or should I attempt at building my own?

Just build your own its always the better way to go

If you are talking about loose games, they seem like they'd fit perfectly in a cassette tape holder, thought I haven't actually checked.

Custom is always going to be better, but people have found some pretty good pre-fab solutions. Check the room of doom pics and such for ideas. Boxed SMS games are the same size as Genesis, so look for those collections, too.

I use lozier shelving and it works perfectly for my collection. The shelves are indestrucable and are fully customizable to perfectly fit each type of game cartridge

I just prefer custom because you can do it for less money to the exact specs you want.

Those plastic drawers are AWESOME. I've been using them for years now. SMS and TI-99 games fit three across, 2600 four across, Intellivision 5 across. Get these, they are essential.

Yeah they fit perfectly. That's how I store all my Genesis and SMS games since I don't have the space to display all the boxes.

Here's the holders that I use. I see these all the time in thrift stores.

This is one of the coolest ideas I've never thought of. I might have to be on the lookout for one of these next time I drop by goodwill.

That's fantastic! I will definitely look for a few of those cases myself. Brilliant!

One thing to remember when dealing with the common plastic drawers found at Target, KMart, Walmart, etc., is that the manufacturers (usually Ster-lite) like to change the design of them often. So if you want to stack them on top of each other (they snap in place) it can't be done. So consider expansion space and maybe buy more than you need now.
