I picked up a pretty nice Joust recently but the castors are gone, and the plywood toward the bottom is starting to separate from being dragged around.

I've looked though all manner of cabinet drawings but they never seem to show the castors. Anybody know of a proper replacement, or have a used set they want to sell?

You mean the leg levelers? New ones are available from a variety of sources, I think one of the members here might even have them for sale from time to time (Peale?).

I wish I needed leg levelers... that would mean that I'd bought a Joust pinball :D Did they actually put those on some arcade cabs?

Ooh, good call. Those cabinet wheels will probably do the job. Thanks!

Leg levelers are standard on all Williams arcade cabs and most arcade cabs in general. Some cabs had 2 wheels (some Taito, some Atari, Nintendo etc.) and some of the bigger games had 4, but for the most part classic cabs had four leg levelers on the bottom.

That's funny, I guess the couple of cabs I've had have been pilfired. I've had 2 cocktails that did have levelers, and 3 uprights without (Mario Bros, Tempest, and now Joust)

Castor comes before oil. CastErs is the right word, although those are wheels. Might be helpful if you need to find some replacement wheels for a cab in the future (although the leg levelers are what you're most likely to need).

According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caster), both spellings are correct.

Yeah, it might just be an American english / UK english thing, to which I occassionally favo(u)r the UK spellings for no good reason.

You're looking for leg levelers. I suppose you could put castors on the bottom instead, but they'd have to be the locking variety.

And yes, I do have them.
