Tricia (my wife) and I spent an hour or so at the Golf N Stuff Arcade in Norwalk, CA. This was the arcade from Karate Kid. Still looks the same on the outside but the inside is another story. Hey, where's the Asteroids machine? They did have a few nice multi cabs - Namco (ms pac/Galaga), Williams (Joust / Robotron) and Nintendo (DK, DKII, Mario Bros.). Also had a nice Galaga 88' cab which I proceeded to get the high score on (89,000) with one guy. My name is in lights once again in an arcade. Tricia made her way to the Cotton Candy machine, played some skeeball and played the suprisingly fun redemption game based on Deal or No Deal. We also spent a short time in the Photo Booth ;)

I could have swore that Golf place was from the San Fernando Valley and was torn down...but I could be wrong

good show!
I dont know if I'm the only one that noticed, but in the scene where Daniel and Ally were initally climbing inside the photo booth taking a picture, there's a Qix machine next to it.

I read quite a bit about GnS after Karate Kid was filmed.

From what I understand, Golf n' Stuff's water park had been gone since 1996

Any Neo Geo MVS cabs or some Capcom fighting games in there?

Sweet, I saw the movie on TV not too long ago and wondered if the place still even existed. Did they keep the bumper boats? I always loved them.

Good god, $2.00 for cotton candy? We only charge $.75 at the arcade and it's served to you by this awesome '70s robot!

Hey man, thanks for sharing -- that place looks awesome!

I would have been uttering Karate Kid catch phrases the entire time. "STRIKE FIRST STRIKE HARD NO MERCY SIR!" "SWEEP THE LEG, JOHNNY!" "DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT? NO SENSEI!" "MERCY IS FOR THE WEAK!!!"

Did they at least have Karate Champ or something??
