I picked up a CD-i remote and a couple of controllers at a thrift today for $1 each but I don't have a system. I always wanted a CD-i and thougt this would be a good start at piecing one together. Anybody have a loose one they can sell or trade me, preferably one with a video adaptor installed? Maybe a couple games too?

Funny thing is I got the urge to play some CD-i this past weekend. I have a ton of games for it (I had purchased a collector's whole collection about 5 years ago plus they're really cheap on eBay) but I have to be honest. Of the 20 or so games that I played, MAYBE one or two are games I'd ever go back to. Hotel Mario is really good. Games you'd think they could never screw up get screwed up a lot because they felt this compulsion to add "multimedia and interactive elements" into otherwise good concepts, which blows because at that time it seems no one had a clue what they were doing. Check out games like Name That Tune ore Micro Machines for good examples of ruining something for the sake of multimedia effects.

Sorry for the blurb, good luck on your hunt!

I don't suppose you'd be willing to part with them?

I'm currently selling mine. It is a portable one, the cdi 370 (the best one). It is a large package and is here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3027978365&category=187&rd=1
