View Full Version : Sega Saturn freezes after a few minutes

I got a couple of Sega Saturn systems a few months ago. One of them was Japanese, and that one works fine. I then found a cheap US system, which I just tested (took me months to find some Saturn games around there parts!)

The system boots fine, but it freezes after a while. Virtua Fighter freezes completely; Virtua Cop 2's graphics vanish, leaving only the background (and it freezes, of course). If I turn off the system and try to turn it on again, I get no video signal. I have to unplug it for a while before I can try again.

I'm guessing there's something wonky going on with the video chip, but I have no way of being sure. What do you guys think may be the problem?
