Hey gang!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! It's funny, but this morning I was playing my MAME cab and I began playing this game:
Leprechaun (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8415)
I was trying to thing of other games that had some kind of Irish connection. (Yes, yes, "Tapper." Let's get that out of the way right now.)
Anyway, how many other games have some kind of Irish connection? Are there games that may have a stage in an Ireland-like setting? Irish characters? Leprechauns? Clovers? Other stereotypes?
Let's see what we can come up with...

The first Broken Sword game had a part that played in Ireland.

The only thing that comes to mind is the add-on patch they released for Planescape: Torment that put one of the characters in Irish costumes.
Here it is - "Leprechaun Annah"

There was an easter mod for one of the characters, too.

ZOUNDS!
I'm Irish (catholic family not that I'm into that sort of thing) and i happen to love beer, whiskey, AND corned beef lol. Yes i also have red hair and enjoy potatoes, so overall I'm pretty stereotypical.
I can't really think of any Irish video game stuff, except for the outright banning of manhunt 2 but then again that's not exactly a unique stand alot of countries were up in arms about that one.

In Fantastic Dizzy on Sega Genesis (best game ever!) there was a leprechaun that you had to give a golden shamrock in order to progress in the game. He got quite happy when he saw it for the record.

How about Tapper? Those customers seem to crave beer enough to be at least a little Irish.

How about St. Patty's Day! the little known Odyssey2 game where you try to pinch all the people not wearing green.

There's a Koei strategy game called Celtic Tales, that carries out that whole theme. I haven't really played it, because as I recall, it was PC only (which is very strange for a Koei game).

Celtic Tales is a really solid strategy game...takes some getting used to as it's pretty old-school (no manual, not much of a walkthrough); you have to figure out the dynamics or get steamrolled by some of the guys who will walk in with large armies and bowl you over after you've already been playing a pretty "successful" game for a few hours. I enjoyed that quite a bit back in the day.

Wow, can't get much more St. Patrick's Day themed than that.
I want to play it, but I can't get the emulator to work. D:

Wow. You must have checked every rom site out there to find it. The rom is almost as rare as the game.;) (It might be a prototype, I'm not sure) I think the reason it won't work is that they used a special trick to allow more characters on the screen than normal so only certain emulators can run it.
