Just a quick question, can European games play on US consoles? I'm in Europe and seeing Disaster Day of Crisis everywhere and I'm 95% sure I know the answer is negative, but wanted to get some quick confirmation now that I have a minute to spare.

Thanks

The Wii is region-locked unless you have a modchip or a now useless Freeloader.

If you've modded it to run gecko OS, it might. Not every game can be forced into NTSC mode though, so if, say, you wanted to run the UK released Gottlieb collection, it won't work.

I have a European Wii (live in Europe, though) and I love import games. Your best bet is definitely Homebrew Channel... Gecko Region Free works perfect. Have played Taiko no tatsujin (japan) and Blastworks (USA) without any trouble.

If it's a huge problem, get the K-version of Zelda and install the homebrew channel. You can chance the system language to English if you'd like with the correct software.
