Just double checking as I email this guy on kijiji. He's got a complete Sega Activator controller for $20...Not sure of the rarity or if its even a worthwhile addition to my Sega collection...Help!! lol.

If it's complete in box and you want just for collecting purposes, then I say go for it. You'll have a tough time finding one that cheap simply because the shipping alone will be close to $20.
And it's fun for a little while and one of those great little conversation starters.

Seconded, and even when they look darn near brand new. Good for your collection, not good for much else.

Someone was selling a complete activator in box on Craigslist in the Seattle area a few months back for like $5 for a few months. Eventually I think they said it was free if you picked it up. I think they listed it a few times like that, and then added that they were going to toss it out if no one picked it up.

You know it's worth nothing if people have trouble giving it away.

I'll offer 'im $5 and see where things go from there then. Box is a little beat up, but its a box, nonetheless. Thanks, all!

$5 sounds like a good offer. We had a complete one in stock at work priced at $1.00. It sat on the shelf for just uner a year.

You wouldn't happen to work at NexWave, would you? lol.

I suppose I'm the only person on the planet that would love to have one of these. LOL I remember reading about it in SegaVisions years ago and desperately wanting to get it and a MegaMouse. Wish these would crop up locally.

I had no idea what this was, so I googled it.

Seriously...

Was Sega's executive division experimenting with really hardcore drugs to make such a horrible string of bad business decisions?

It was the 90s and people were into virtual reality, or other crazy ways to "get into the game." It would have probably been a cool device if they made games that worked only for that controller.
