Has this turned up anywhere? The retail release has the Graveyard stage removed, but looking at an EGM July 1995 page I scanned a few years ago, there are pictures of the level. It looks like a playable game (pictures taken at E3).Has it been found?I'd love to try that prototype out.
Here's a link to the EGM scan.No one over at AA has found anything out,so I hope maybe someone here might know something.....

It would be nice if one of our programmer types could take a look through the ROM's assets and see if the art files for the stage still exist. It's possible just the ability to access the stage was removed, but they left everything else intact to prevent breaking any other parts of the game.

Already done it myself. There are no leftovers, just the slots for said levels.

snes version: THE SUBWAY.THE STREET.THE BANK.ROOFTOP.THE BALCONY.THE BRIDGE.SOUL CHAMBER.SHAO KAHNS TOWER.THE TEMPLE.THE PIT 3.THE VORTEX

sega version: THE SUBWAY.KOMBAT ZONE: THE STREET.KOMBAT ZONE: THE BANK.KOMBAT ZONE: THE ROOFTOP. KOMBAT ZONE: THE BALCONY. KOMBAT ZONE: THE BRIDGE.KOMBAT ZONE: SOUL CHAMBER.KOMBAT ZONE: SHAO KAHN TOWER. KOMBAT ZONE: THE TEMPLE.KOMBAT ZONE: GRAVEYARD. KOMBAT ZONE: THE PIT3

So sega has the slot still.

I found another set of EPROMS for MK3, but I need a long board to test them on

Any luck on testing to see if the Graveyard Stage is on it?

I too have a SNES MK3 prototype, but they're just loose EPROMS. I need a long board in order to test whether or not there are any differences.

Breakpack, no Graveyard in mine.

Why was this removed?

Was it simply a memory issue or something else?

It was cruddy stage, lots of moving graphics, etc. The remainders of the levels slots are still there. Stage crashes if you load it.

Ok I appreciate you checking :)

Seeing those EGM pics,I hope that particular E3 prototype version surfaces someday! :D

Have you been able to try yours,BeaglePuss?

I haven't been able to purchase a long board at a reasonable price. There are some on eBay currently, but I would rather not shell out $70 for one. I'm sure I will get one soon enough, and I will update the thread when I do.

Why couldn't you just dump the chips and check that way? I sent some NES loose chips out at one point to be checked, without actually having a board.

I have dumped the chips already using an EPROM programmer. It's combining the chips that's the issue. I've combined numerous NES chips, but those are typically 1-3 chips. With my MK3 board set, you're talking eight total chips. I don't have any real experience when it comes to combining SNES chips, let alone eight. If you could walk me through the process, start to finish, I will gladly tell you what's on the chips. I wouldn't know where to start.
