Hi Guys

I have decided to get back into my Sega Saturn after years for some hardcore arcade gaming. It's a UK version and I want to play Japanese games at the full Original Jap speed 60 fps (60Hz) (almost 20% faster than normal PAL speed!) and in full screen mode instead of the squashed letterbox mode. I have found some one selling a Saturn Modchip Board V2 . Will this be a good one? Has anyone else modded their Saturn with this chip?

A Saturn mod-chip won't allow you to play imports; they're for playing 'back-ups'.

You either want one of the Action Replay + carts (or their clones), or preferably get your soldering iron out and install UK/JPN/US region and 50/60Hz speed switches.

If you're looking for a place to pick up one of the Action Replay import keys (it also does game save backups, RAM expansion, and, of course, cheat codes), then here's the place I bought mine:

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-k8-49-en-15-action+replay+4m-70-1b2.html

They're in stock there and ready to ship. It takes a little while, since the site ships out from Asia, but it's worth the wait.

Thanks for the replies. But will the Action Replay cart play the Jap games at full original speed and without the borders on the pal Saturn?

Not likely since that's likely an aspect of the system hardware and not the game.
