Is Space Harrier the highest scoring game of all time? As I recall, you get get into the millions in minutes.

I know you can score in the trillions on Mars Matrix (dreamcast version). I'm sure there are some other shooters out there that have insane scoring capabilities.

You can score trillions in Giga Wing 2. :)

Mars Matrix

The weird formatting of the actual scores is original to the games, but you definitely can see that Giga Wing Generations is the winner with twenty digit scores.

Giga Wing 2 was the game that immediately sprung to mind for me, had no idea GWG went further than either that...

Hmm, quadrillions in Giga Wing 2? Right, of course... trillions are easy, quadrillions possible.
But then it ups things from quadrillions in Giga Wing 2 to quintillions in Generations? Awesome stuff... :) I've heard that the game isn't as good as the second one, though. Haven't played it.

Considering everything up to the hundreds of millions is grouped differently, I'm guessing what's in the tens of millions is "throwaway," heh
