Can the Dreamcast read CD-RWs?

I'm just curious, I'm sick of having to constantly buy CD-Rs because I'm unsure if CD-RWs work in the Dreamcast.

Oh, and just to make this thread useful, have you ever put a game disc in a CD player or similar device? I always like hearing the warnings that you put it in the wrong device. LOL

No it doesn't. You can open the DC up and adjust the laser so that it will read CD-RWs, but then the laser will burn out sooner.

Yeah, just like nate1749 said, it only does CD-R's by default

Not that it was SUPPOSED to do either, that's kinda what killed its market :P
