video game tournys.... ideas?

I was thinking about buying a reproduction cart of nintendo world championships for $80 bucks for game tournys with my friends... thought that would be the best idea...

then again i was also thinking about a NHL hockey tourny that goes from 92-95... that might be cool too...

and last but not least a tourny to see who can land the airplane on the aircraft carrier (topgun) with the power glove first.... (AVGN makes a big deal about this, but I cant remember it being that hard actually)

any cool ideas for a game tourny?

I don't want to give away much right now, but I and a couple other DPer's are trying to get something organized here for the forum somewhat akin to Vectorman's excellent Activision contest from last year. Stay tuned, kids...
