Damn, that ancient Neo Geo I've got is STILL a live console! W00t! It's one of the original ones, too boot...
Anyways, I think the vehicle and muzzle flash art sprites they've got there need to be...beautified...considerably, before this thing goes to ROM. I mean, look at the gatling gun or that shotgun blast...I could do that in MSPaint, for goodness' sake.
Now the backdrops are great looking. It's just a few things that need to be touched up.

A little clever use of the AES cartridge would put an end to that--put every boss and enemy onscreen within five screen widths ;)

The NEO never died....releases may be fewer than before, but theyre still coming :) Metal Slug 5, SNK vs Capcom, Matrimeele and most likely KoF 2003 are all on the burner. And SNK/Playmore has a new US division. Viva la Neo!

Well, it supposedly died back when SNK folded in late 2001...what a bad year...but it was really just taking a short break.
Neo Geo, 1989-
(13 years and counting...blink again and it'll be older than the average person who uses the Internet for game discussion...scary thought)
