hey I just stumbled across little big planet in gamestop and was curious

I found and enormous stack and thought myself, what if one of these was by chance a recall from the stack that was supposedly destroyed?

well first thing I did was look at the SLES number, and well I found one that was different than the others,

I've tried google for hours, but nothing, I was wondering if my fellow forums members could help me find out if this is genuine or not

and if it is what is set recall version is worth?

Were they really destroyed? I thought they were simply autopatched when they were installed.

I worked at gamestop at the time and the big wigs had already shipped out the initial shipment to sit in the back room until release, however, an email came with the notice and said they were to be sent back to the distributer

here are the two numbers I found

SLES 98148
SLES xxxx99

I'm going with the lower number being the earlier title hence the one that was pulled, also there was only one of those and each other was the later number

also, I think this is one of "those" since there is a gamestopp refurb sticker on it and we all know that blu ray are for all intents and purposes indestructible (unless cracked in half or damaged on the top layer) this would mean that it came from a gamestop employee that was higher up, or within the company or somehting else of that nature, in short I think I found something worth buying (although LBP is worth having regardless)

also according to gamefaqs, its the original, all I need to play it now is a ps3 that doesn't have an upadte applied to it and isn't connected to the net

I don't believe they were destroyed either. The cost of destroying that many discs would be in the millions, not to mention a rush order to get more reprinted. That just doesn't happen in Q4.

The cost of putting a patch out on PSN is virtually free. Guess which one they did?

There are 2 part numbers for the title though, one was patched on the disc, the other gets patched over PSN.

I doubt it's worth much, the first 50,000 or so units were all unpatched.

I just find it funny that all of gamestop corp would say "send em back"
