Not interested as I don't have the funds, but just a suggestion if you try to sell them on ebay:
Buy really cheap sealed SNES games like vegas stakes or something, carefully take the seal off with an exacto knife and put it around these games, call it opened but still with seal on or something like that, and you will get a signifigantly higher amount of money.

+1...why would you say something in a gaming FORUM about potentially deceiving other collectors? O_O
Anyways, I've been looking for a few of those titles, but sweet jesus, $850? That means you are putting a value of nearly $100 per game :o

These are defiantly not sealed, nor would I want to deceive anyone.
From what I saw for completed eBay purchases (in advance search, without S/H) this is a pretty fair price.
If I were to sell them separately, they would be (but still as a bundle)
Final Fantasy II 140
Final Fantasy III 125
Chorno Trigger 170
--------------------------------
Breath of Fire 50
Breath of Fire II 80
--------------------------------
Secret of Mana 60
Secret of Evermore 40

I'll get to posting pictures tomorrow.

that's about what I'd pay for sealed copies of most of those, so perhaps you are a bit confused on the pricing? If you are willing to come down SIGNIFICANTLY, I'm looking for FFII, FFIII, Secret of Mana, and perhaps Chrono Trigger. If so, I guess send me a PM and we can go from there.

It's kind of funny, but FF3 generally sells for more than FF2. Not that you're not charging enough as it is.

why's everyone bashing this dude on his prices?? let him ask whatever he wants to ask for them and simply say "hey id be interested if you come down in price", and say that in a PM not open on the boards. Those prices arent really that insane, i mean we have all seen those games "at one point in time" go pretty much for those prices. Anyways just my 2 cents.
Also to Darkslime > Whats the matter with you?? thats very deceiving, and why would you just post that on the boards, i wouldnt buy anything from you either lol. geesh

Well I want to point out that you can't just price things exactly like eBay. You should always expect less selling on here because a buyer has no security. Conversely, when you buy on eBay, there are a lot more buyer rights, which are worth a bit more money. I'd usually rather pay $100 for a game on eBay with pictures, a recognized contractual obligation, and dispute resolution services rather than mailing off an $80 money order to some guy on a message board for an unseen game.
But I realize you are entitled to whatever prices you please, so good luck with the sale.

Eh, it's all in good fun. I think most people are just trying to help him...and personally, I'm seriously interested in most of them, so although I laughed at it, I definitely want them (for the right price)
Edit: It's not really about "looking hard". Those people got lucky. The idea is to look at what general prices are.
If I wanted to sell a car, I wouldn't look up the highest price ever paid for the car, now would I? I'd shoot for the average price paid..and in the case of a lot, and on a forum, I'd be even cheaper.

You forgot to mention adding your own hang tabs to the shrinkwrap and printing out fake Kay Bee Toys price tags. Although I don't know if sealed collectors look at those things as being defects rather than enhancements...

Honestly though common. I just looked on Ebay buy it nows, and there are at least 4 or 5 of Final Fantasy 2 and Final Fantasy 3 each, between $40 and $60, in beautiful shape. These babies go for $20-$30 left and right on NintendoAge and DigitalPress. Ive seen 2 go in the last month in the $20s. On ebay auctions normally end slightly higher.. between $25-$40.
I can understand the right to charge whatever you think these are worth.. but seriously your wasting your time. This is a community for collectors.. we help each other out. Also being collectors, we are not Idiots on ebay that will enter bid wars and pay 4x the value of a game that we can buy anytime on a BIN auction.
Why would anyone that has knowledge of collecting want to pay $850 for a lot of used games, they can get factory sealed at the same price individually? In a lot factory sealeds would go for even less.. probly around $500. I think I paid $20 for my breath of fire, and $13 for my Illusion of Gaia on ebay.
Realistically you have about $300 worth of games if you sell them as a lot. Some people might even consider that overpriced being as your selling these as a lot. Your trying to sell them almost 3 times that price.
I mean sorry if my post was bitching, and I wish you the best of luck with your sales.. I just think your wasting time. If you want to try to get that much out of them, I would suggest putting a BIN up on Ebay or Chasethechuckwagon.

Koleman, I think these guys are being so hard on you because your lot lacks a killer app, that one exclusive game that will make people forget about paying their bills on time. Just add a complete in box copy of Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt to your lot and the offers will pour in like rain in Seattle;)

This kind of reminds me of a situation from when I was about 14 years old. I had a friend that lived downstairs from me in our apartment complex, and his family planned on having a garage sale the next morning. I rustled up some items and joined them. As we were laying stuff out for sale, my friend's 8 year old brother was planning on selling his Nintendo system. This was when the SNES was near the end of its lifecycle and an NES deck could be found for $20 pretty much everywhere.
Anyways, my friend's brother started trying to determine how much he should sell his NES for. He said, "Hrm, I could sell it for $20... hey, maybe $30... no wait! I could put a price tag on it for $100, and then I'd have enough to get that bike I want! Yeah, I'll sell it for $100!"
While he was free to ask any price he wanted for it, obviously, what his 8 year old mind was forgetting was that for him to get that $100, someone has to actually be willing to PAY him that amount.

This is where things get weird.
Is replacing the shrinkwrap from the shrinkwrap on another SNES game any different from swapping out the cardboard insert from a SNES game box, or switching out a broken Xbox case for a pristine one? It's not the original case or insert. Everyone does that, and I'm betting nobody bothers informing the buyer that they did this before selling it. Why? Because nobody can tell the difference and it really doesn't matter.
Assume that a person had a game with the original (but slit open) shrinkwrap on it, and then that shrinkwrap got damaged. Then they immediately replace it with a shrinkwrap "sleeve" from another game. Is that wrong to do, even if there is absolutely no difference between the shrinkwrap? How about moving the shrinkwrap from one copy of a title to a duplicate copy of that title?
Why is the original shrinkwrap being left on a box something that enhances the value? You could slide the shrinkwrap off, stick it in a drawer, leave your game naked for a couple years, allow it to get dinged up, and then put it back on. What's the ethical situation there? Are you obligated to disclose the fact that you took the shrinkwrap off, then put it back on before you sell it to someone? Mind you, we're not talking about resealing games here, we're talking a thin piece of plastic film that doesn't guarantee anything about the game since it's been opened.
Some aspects of game collecting are just completely irrational.

It is somewhat of a gray area, but some may 'assume' that if the shrinkwrap is on the game that the surface of the box will be in excellent condition. It addition, a copy with the original shrinkwrap is more likely to be well cared for and in better overall condition.
Another example would be the removal of blockbuster stickers and pen marks from a chrono trigger cart prior to selling. The buyer doesn't know the difference, but most would like to know if the game was a former rental or not.

Tube, you have a good point.
Key is though, it's dishonest. Most sellers won't care about the other sellers (cases, etc), but they would in this case. Mainly I gues,, becuase it implies somthing about the surface being free of scratches etc.
Anyways, dude, sell them on eBay. It's onvious so far you won't get the price you wnt here. That a general rule of forums anyways, you'll get less from collectors than eBay n00bs.
ErmangelnSeelen

I think that the plastic sleeve is just taken to an extreme. Replacing a faulty part or piece on a game is one thing, but the sleeve is designed to cover up flaws, or make people less worried about them. You could take a fairly beat box, stick it in a sleeve, and try to pass it as mint...you won't fool everyone, but someone will likely fall for it.
edit: I didn't think it would take you so long to realize your games aren't made of solid gold. >_<
