If I shouldn't have made a thread for this, please move to the appropriate place. I wasn't sure where to put it.

Gamestop's weekly ad says they are having another Game Days Sale.

http://www.gamestop.com/gs/weeklyad/current/default.aspx

It's up to 50 percent off on some new games starting Sunday, but I can't find anything on what games will be on sale. Is there some way to find this or do we have to wait/go to the store Sunday?

Edit: They updated the page right after I posted this. Looks like you can get Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (game only) for $10 and Chrono Trigger DS for $30 and some other goodies.

Metal Slug 7 for $14.99 is tempting. Thanks for the heads up!

A full list of games can be found at CheapAssGamer's forums - right here (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219355).

I'm VERY tempted to get Persona 3: FES. Very. I just wish they'd put the Onimusha set on sale too. :( A friend of mine asked me to get GH Aerosmith for the 360 so he can get a free guitar, heh. :p

FYI...Check out page 27 of Game Informer April 2009 issue for a coupon worth an additional 10% off all game days sales merchandise.

Looks like CAG mentions this on there site as well...so I was little late to the party with this one as usual.

The past couple of times I've bought a game at EB, they gave me a sheet with three coupons: $20 extra credit on a system trade-in, 10% off a new game, and 30% extra credit on up to 5 game trade-ins. Even though the coupons say you can't combine them, usually the guys at my local EB will go ahead and do it.

Also, if you buy items the same day as when you trade in stuff, they just take it off the credit you have on the Edge card, so you're not charged sales tax.

I think it's the game only, sans guitar. Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles for $10 is another to keep eyes out for.

That's true...unless you have the guitar and game rung up together... :D

When you do, the game comes up at $9.98, and the wired X-plorer guitar (normally $39.99) comes up as $0.01. The stores I went to had these guitars (normally free with a wireless Aerosmith bundle) in the back, so you'll have to ask for them. Hoping to trade the second Aerosmith game for a 360 GHII, or just sell it for 10 bucks, giving me a 2-player 360 GH setup for only $10...sweet! Got everything shown here for $65.00...pretty darn good sale.

I snagged:

360 GH Aerosmith, my wife's a big fan. They tried to give me the xplorer, but I have 3 already, I don't have space for another one and I didn't want to carry it home. One of the few times in my life I've turned something free down
360 Namco Collection, for $15 it's worth a shot even if I've bought the games 100 times
DS Metal Slug 7, great deal for $15 if you can find a copy
PSP FF I, finally, the price it should've been in the first place
PSP FF II, see above

$65 tax included. Sweet

I turned out to be an all right sale if you use the 10 percent off coupon. Even if you don't get the Aerosmith and guitar deal.

I picked up:

Tomb Raider Anniversary 360
Namco Museum Virtual Arcade 360
The Dog Island PS2
Exit DS
Linerider 2 DS

For $52 with tax, which is decent. Namco Museum was probably the best deal of the bunch, marked down from $30 to $15.

It is a clearance sale, though. It's obvious from the list, but don't go in there looking for too many great breaks on hot titles. There's a lot of dreck in the bins to sort through, but there's enough in there to make it worth your while. If I had a Wii or PSP it would have worked out much better for me.

Yeah, the guitar definately comes with gh:a as I just got home with one. I already have rb1 and rb2, so I had no need for 2 guitars, so I only got 1 game and 1 guitar.

Guitar Hero guitars are now replacing DDR dance mats as the most common and annoying thrift store video game accessories in my area.

So is this like the last Game Days sale or is there any chance of me finding games that are actually still sealed?

At least at my local one all games were gutted copies.

All the games I purchased were gutted in the bins, and then swapped out with sealed copies at the register.

Gamestop runs this sale once a year and they've done it for at least the last 3-4 years that I can remember if not longer (my memory is hazy).

This is how the bins are supposed to be but....

That's interesting. In all of our literature on the sale, it's mentioned that all games that are on the sale are to be gutted and their cases to be placed in the bins along with the Game Days sticker on the spine. We're even supposed to pull the display copies from each of the sections and put them in the bins.

There's a decent amount of good stuff in the bin this year. My three cousins have all made out like bandits on this sale. I've sold 4 of the GH Aerosmith "bundles" to them alone. LOL My friend and his wife gave me the money to pick them up a set as well and now they want the Namco Museum for XB360.

The DS titles on the sale have been selling briskly. We haven't gotten many people picking up the Wii titles, XB360 has been so-so. PS2/PS3/PSP have all been flat. It sucks I'm in a financial pinch as I would have loved to clean up on this sale.

I only picked up Castlevania Dracula X chronicles because that was the only game for sale on my want list and none of the rest were but I used so some trade in credit for other stuff
