Hi

I' coming back to retrogaming after many years. Deciding to buy Japanese pcengine duo-r.

If I use a Jap Pcengine duo-r on a SCART PAL TV (I'm based in UK) with RGB SCART lead will the Japanese games run at full original speed and full screen (instead of PAL letterbox mode)? or do I still need to get it modified to run at 50/60hz?

Thanks.

I can confirm it works perfectly fine in 60hz. The Duo-R is 60hz by default, so as long as your TV can accept NTSC signals you have nothing to worry about :)

And an RGB connection has no NTSC/PAL encoding anyways... as long as the TV can handle 60Hz (which almost any from the last 10-15 years can) you'll be fine. The hardware determines the output here, not the TV itself.
