this is simular to the thread gamerater posted but...

when I go into my local 1up games shop and buy a system and I have to choose one game to buy (because im broke) and lets just say they have every game which would it be?

Just curious on conscensus and not on personal opinion...

Like for instance if you just bought a new system brought it home and showed your friend, the first game he would ask you if you had would be...?

like n64... the only game you would need is goldeneye
or NES = super mario 3
turbo grafx16= bonks adventure
PS1 = Final Fantasy 7
Sega Master system = Shinobi
Atari Jaguar = tempest 2000
Atari 2600 = Ms. Pac man
Sega Saturn = Nights into dreams
Sega CD = Snatcher
Dreamcast = Shenmue
Gamecube = Super Smash Bros
Sega Genesis = Sonic the hedgehog
SNES = Chrono Trigger
3DO = Super Street Fighter 2
Neo Geo = King of monsters
Virtual Boy = Tennis
32x = Star Wars

like personaly, goldeneye isnt my fav game on N64 but I can %100 understand why its number 1... same with sonic on genesis...

I'm not going to do this.

But I will say "Konami GB Collection." Depends on the volume...

Man, sometimes participating in threads on Digital Press feels like having a second job.

Except you don't get paid for it.

edit: nm, just saw the on consensus thing. Beats the hell out of me as I only really know what I like.

Just to clarify...I prefer thinking I'm on a deserted island when answering these types of questions...it kinda eases the pain, but here we go:
NES: SMB 3
SNES: Super Metroid
PS1: Metal Gear Solid
N64: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
PS2: Gran Turismo 3
Gameboy: Tetris
Gameboy Advance: Link's Awakening DX (hey, it plays on a GBA!)
Sega Saturn: Doom
Game Gear: Streets of Rage 2
Genesis: King's Bounty

That's about all I've actively played in the last few years. High replay value there and alot of good variety. My .02

Or DO I?

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to enjoy a delicious bag of Lay's Brand Potato Chips. While they have a variety of exciting flavors, such as Mesquite BBQ and Cheddar & Sour Cream, I do prefer the classic Lay's Potato Chips. They're made with just salt, potatoes and oil these days, did you guys know that? Mmm.

Damn you, he wanted concensus! That means we all have to get together and hammer out a list, and then present it to him. He wasn't interested in personal opinion, just a lot of personal opinion forming consensus.

BTW, I love 1Up games in Hamilton, but it's overpriced.

.....

Kizuna is a terrible fighter, and if your talking about the AES version, you don't own it.

I think he's just being funny by listing the rarest (or one of the rarest) game for each system.

it's too soon to tell what it's gonna be for the Wii yet, but right now it's a tossup between Mushroom Men & Nights: Journey of Dreams... both are very strong contenders, but both could be defeated by a future release... so it's gonna be interesting to see what else comes out to join the contenders
