Sure, why not? Big recall on the PSP, due to, let say...mortgage rates. They gave the PS3 a call, but it never called back. They plan on sending it an email next. The PS3 will go up and then down and then up and up some more, and then back down, and then it will spin around three times, and no more.

This won't end well.

No the 'rumors' arn't true. A recall would only happen if there was a serious flaw with the system that would potentially cause harm to its users. That is not something that the PSP has afflicting it. Poor sales and a lack of games does not bode for a recall. Is Sony doing well? No. Is Sony belly up? No. Even if Sony's SCEA division died, the systems would still be out there and would sell till they were off shelves, like any other game system that was no longer supported.
