Looking at buying an NES lot and among the games/systems is a non working NES. Guy tried to replace the 72pin but apparently it didn't work not sure if he just got a bad 72pin or did a bad install, maybe bent something or not but what else could be wrong with an NES besides the 72pin?

You'd be amazed at the number of NES games that "don't work" that are perfectly fine after you clean them. If he replaced the 72-pin connector, I'd almost be willing to bet that his games just need a good clean and everything would be peachy.

Check out http://www.nintendorepairshop.com/ for some really good cleaning solutions.

I agree a some games require a real good cleaning (including removing the casing). I have resurrected many that I had once thought deceased.
