I have searched the forums and have found a few sites that people said to visit. That being said, I i haven't hard back from any of them. Now i have gotten a few quotes, but was wondering who do you guys use when you need something modded? I am referring to AV, s-video, region switches, LED's and repairs. Not Mod Chips to play bootlegs.

D-Lite is a good one. You see anything that's been put together or modded by him (I think he did quite a bit with PC-Engine work, maybe the Neo too), it'll be well regarded.

People who add uncessary LEDs to everything should be lit on fire.

depends on the system. neotropolis does good neo work (though perhaps a bit $$$) not sure who modded my neo as I am not the original owner

What exactly are you looking to have done? If it's something simple I would highly recommend trying it yourself (unless you're working on an expensive system...then you might want to get your feet wet on something else first). There are a ton of books about how to mod consoles out there. Check with amazon.

FYI his last post here was in 2006, pretty sure he disappeared and left a few people hanging on the pcenginefx forums. Might wanna scratch him off your list. :D

Yup, D-lite was IMO the best system modder around until he went AWOL. He did a super sexy region modded duo-rx for me a while back, but he left some people high and dry on some other deals.

I suggest avoiding Neotropolis (aka KennyBoy, aka Kpj). His work may look pretty in pictures, but I have heard quite a bit about his average to sub-standard work. He also charges way too much when you could get equal or better work done for much cheaper elsewhere. I suggest trying to get in touch with Jeff Kurtz for your Neo mods, although I'm not sure if he is still doing them.

I agree. It looks pretty sad sometimes with all of the LEDs on old consoles and computers.

well, i suppose i'm not really into a bunch of extra leds but i have to say systems without a power LED drive me crazy.
and blue looks sooo much better then red on an NES.

I agree....when used in moderation (like just replacing the ugly red LED) I think LED mods are awesome. Start going crazy....well that is where people should be lit on fire. Power LED's (for systems that don't have them) is a very functional mod too.

Any chance you fellas know a console modder living in So. Cal?
I need some work done on a company project, so I have to meet them face to face with a confidentiality agreement.

There's this guy from the Neo Geo forums.

Not so sure exactly what types of mods he does. But from what I hear he's always busy and hard to get a hold of. But still worth a shot.
