Hi,

I've got an original xbox with mame installed and it's great. I think it's 0.62b or something like that.

However, i'd like to know what the latest version of mame was available on xbox as i'd like to be able to play a version of Tetris Grand master on it which i could either do with the latest version of mame or a ZinC emulator.

Any help or where i'd be able to get it from would be appreciated.

Hell, i don't even know if emulators are active anymore on original xbox.

Anyway, thanks for reading.

I too am wondering if anyone has new info. I hardly use MAME on my XBox due to it being so outdated. Its a shame too, as there are so many newer games I would love to try on my TV.

I would definitely recommend Final Burn Alpha XXX for CPS 1 & 2, Neo Geo & early Cave stuff (like DoDonPachi). It really runs great and has a good frontend. For consoles, there is a Mednafen for just about everything out there that runs well.

Why not get a video card w/ TV out?

CoinOPS Ignite is what you want. It still uses the old version of MAME that all the other Xbox MAME emulators run on (.60-.70 or something like that), but it's still being updated regularly and all the games are preconfigured for the Xbox controller.

I don't know about Tetris GM, but a lot of roms that don't run in MAMEdoX will run full speed in CoinOPS. Especially the mid-90's Midway stuff like Kombat, NBA Jam, and Primal Rage. Your best bet is to find a torrent with all the supported games included (about 3,000) and download that.

The only available MAME version for Xbox is 0.84 I'm currently in the process of ditching the 'Box in the MAME cabinet for a PC.
