Hello, I have a chance to snag a PS3 Kiosk that used to be at a local Circuit City. It has the PS3 and the Sony Bravia LCD removed. The seller is asking 250.00, wanted to see if you thought it was a good deal. Besides the tv and the PS3 everything else is there. it is in near mint/mint condition
any feed back would be great,

Do you have a PS3 or the right sized LCD to put in it? $250 seems a little steep for an empty kiosk in my humble opinion. I would at least have to haggle with the seller considering what you'll have to spend to make it a functional unit.

Does it have the "fake" PS3?

Those non-functional store model consoles apparently get shipped back somewhere. At least, that's what they told me when I offered to by the 360 shell.

why the hell would you want a metal upright ugly console stand?

Without the tv and ps3 this is nothing. Might be worth $50 to the right person but $250 someone is on crack.

Technically they're supposed to send the whole thing back, but it's a bitch to ship. Sometimes they tell you not to bother.

My Circuit City had them taken apart, with the 360 shell randomly sitting on the back shelf, next to the PC games. I actually picked it up, read the "NON-FUNCTIONING..." stickers, and took it to an employee to offer $20, and they said that just the units get sent back. I'm guessing that they're SUPPOSED to send the whole display back, which definitely sounds more likely.

this was a working model, for some reason the person that bought it from circuit city took the tv and ps3 out. it is a 160Gb backwards compatable, and a sony bravia(don't remember the inch). I thought 250 was steep as well empty. it would cost me around 700-800 to make it whole again. The reason that I would want somthing like this would be just to add it to my collection.
I dont uses these Kiosks very often, but I have 5 of them now(GameCube, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Pokemon Snap Station).
