I have heard it is pretty lame actually. You would be better off ditching the Genesis part and getting a Retro Duo.

The Genesis side has issues with some models of television, producing a rather dark picture. You also lack any inputs for the Sega CD or 32X. A used Genesis and Retro Duo would cost about the same.

Just for the Genesis problem alone it's not worth it. If you are patient you can find a High Definition Model 1 Genesis for around 10 bucks shipped on ebay. 20 bucks with hookups. I don't think I'd even bother with the model 2 or model 3 which is essentially a clone to begin with.

It's a cool concept, but like other have said, I've heard its "meh" at best. You would be better off scoping eBay for secondhand originals of the systems.

Then run out and buy a little duct tape...problem solved. It may be not as pretty but at least it will work more than a couple months...clones suck. I've never found a reliable one. Now that I think about it I've seen this thing in person...three systems taped together would probably look alot better.

This thing wishes it were a super genintari. Honestly the problem your all describing with the genesis doesn't sound all that bad a slightly dark picture? Just turn up the contrast. but all these clone systems have slight issues here and there not playing this game or that or having slightly imperfect sound reproduction. I'm guessing this thing probably runs like 40-50 retail and for that much you can get all 3 original systems if your patient. In the last year i picked up a super nintendo with power supply and rca hookups for $7 and a couple of genesis 2's with rf adaptor and power supplies for $5 a pop. And in response to the comment above about not bothering with model 2 and 3 i would say dont get the model 3 unless you like collecting systems as it has some shortfalls, but the model 2 is just as good as the model one in MOST ways and is small to boot. only shortfall of the model 2 is the lack of headphone jack. the fact that it says high definition on the model 1 is just a logo and nothing else no internal hardware change from the first to second model to warrant the removal of it, probably just a styling choice and to save a few cents on paint per unit.

*edit* wow they want $100 for this thing! screw that for that much you can get all three systems easily with the original zapper, a power pad, and a couple of cheap titles for each!

maybe all you guys like having 3 big ac adapters pluged in...

I have 15 systems hooked up right now and I wake up at night scared that I might not have flipped the power off on my power bar...

Yeah, that does kind of suck. Behind my entertainment center looks like the plug-in from "A Christmas Story". Luckily I don't throw breakers when I plug things in, though!

The headphone jack would allow you to hook up to stereo speakers.
Here's an article on the Model 1 regarding how it has better sound

I have it...it's okay and it's doing the job. I have no compilants but the Genny slot shows a darker picture. All is good though.

I had the 2slot of NES and SNES. It got fried!!! It smelt like rye and coke! lol

The model 2 genesis has fixed level stereo sound in its AV port, which is generally better than the variable level audio from the model 1 unit's headphone jack.

Says you. The picture output is DARK. Even if you could adjust brightness and contrast(my Sylvania TV lacks both) I doubt it would matter. And it seems to only affect CERTAIN television models.

I have this as well. About the only good thing about it is the compatibility. I'd say it's the best Genesis clone on the market right now.

(comparison of FC3 Plus and GN Twin)

SNES and NES compatibility are decent, but the controls on either one are horrid. I wish they just made it a Genesis system, because that's the only area it really excels at.
