I was out and about today, and went to a couple Gamestops that had GB players with the disc in their used stuff. Left them behind because I didn't have much $$ with me but the more I think about it, I should have picked one or both of them up. What's the going rate for these bad boys?

Dunno, but I purchased one off a friend for $10.
I wonder how much GameStop gives for them?

Probably $1 or less.
I got mine at the local used game store for $10, which was a big surprise. Game Crazy sells them for about $25. No idea abut Gamestop since they never seem to have them in stock.

I got mine from GameStop for $15, and nothing bad has happened with it.

The challenge is finding one with all of the original packaging. :/

Yeah, my local GameStops sell them used (with the disc, of course) for $14.99 each. They've actually each had about 3 or 4 in there lately...

Not long ago GB Players fetched quite a decent price, going for more than the cubes they were attached to.

I see them more often than I used to - I got mine at a GameStop, and most of the local ones tend to have 2-4 in stock.
It's well worth owning if you have a Gamecube - just don't pay over $15 for just the unit and disc alone. I have a feeling that they won't always be able to be had for the $15-$25 they're going for now, but any jump in value won't occur for a few years.
