Dan Aykroyd really likes the 2004 film, The Incredibles. So much so, in fact, that he believes himself to look like an Incredibles-esque superhero in the upcoming Ghostbusters game for Wii, telling Newsweek (http://www.newsweek.com/id/193281), "I love the way we look in the Wii platform ... anybody who looks like an Incredible is automatically a superhero." Though we're not sure if there's a direct correlation between the two, Aykroyd firmly believes so, continuing, "I was so pleased that they shaved off at least 60 pounds from my current bulk."

Apparently Aykroyd's current poundage isn't all that was shaved in translation from movie to game, as the romantic elements between Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver have been omitted from the forthcoming title. Aykroyd says "the format of ghostbusting lends itself to a video game beautifully," while apparently the finesse required in convincing Sigourney Weaver to fornicate with Bill Murray doesn't so much. Not even a minigame, folks? We kid! It probably didn't help that Ms. Weaver declined to be part of the game (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/06/sigourney-weaver-missed-her-shot-at-ghostbusters-game-role/), huh?

Eh, I dunno. I hope the Wii version is different enough to warrant two purchases. :p

I just hope at least one of them is worth buying.

No doubt it's different enough. Both should be very decent titles.

I agree with him, I love the more cartoony look of the Wii one too.

Why does Venkman have blonde hair? Also, nice to see Zedmore!

He's the only one to look anything remotely like what they do in the movie as well. The game still looks good though.

That's not Venkman, that's the player character.

Ah, I suppose that makes sense. The face kind of resembles Venk. I wonder if you can "build" your own character?

So Peter isn't in it?

I'd like the Wii look if it was Real Ghostbusters. Too cheap to pay DiC a fee for animation model rights or something?

As for a romance subplot, good. They're always annoying in video games. I've yet to see a game that did romance well... or believably(JRPGs are the worst). Max Payn 2 certainly tried, then the ending fell apart... "oh no, Mona's the one who really killed my wife and baby. But I still love you, Mona, please don't die."

So does this mean they're going to have a proton pack particle thrower attachment for the Wii remote?

So Peter isn't in it?

It looks like he's in the picture on the other thread.

Of course a 56 yr. old, non-gamer prefers the Wii version. I bet most soccer moms and grandparents prefer the Wii version too.

This is getting too easy.

So now I'm gonna have to buy two different versions of it? I wish they'd quit that! First it was Shaun White Snowboarding, and now it's Ghostbusters! How hard is it to just make games the same for all the consoles? Stop pushing the graphics so damn hard and just develop for the lowest common denominator!
