I always enjoy looking at other forum member's gaming set ups so I thought I would finally share my own. I've tried to make my room as compact and functional as possible since it is also my bedroom. Hope you all enjoy!

I like it!

Nothing is too over the top, it just looks like a fun place to relax and play some games. :)

Thanks! I try to keep it as simple and tidy as i can which can be hard with so much stuff. But it is nice and cozy, that's for sure.

I like your game room layout, you've defiantly done much better with the room than I have with mine. Still, I also think you have less stuff also.

You know someone should hold a "Best game Room" or "messiest" game room contest.

I like the shot of the SNES with Sonic devouring the mushroom. It's a very atrsy angle.
A controller rack is such a good idea. That's something I definately will have to do.
I really like the lights also. I have some shelves that look like they're built into the walls. They have lip on each shelve, and I've run rope lights underneath to give it a museum look.
Nice room man! It really looks like a place that would feel nice to slump down into after a hard days work to relax and game!

Nice room man! It looks open and not too crowded with game stuff. I am currently working on my room now, and it is pretty hard to do. Good job, organizing can be pretty challenging.

very nice! Sadly I have still not managed to setup something you'd see as a game room just living rooms with systems in them and games tucked away

I like it. Im envious of your Virtual Boy and FZ-10 Panasonic 3DO as they have eluded me for quite some time.

It's pretty handy for keeping controllers out of the way, since they don't fit very well in drawers or whatever. It's a sort of nice way to display them too. Right now i only have one controller for each system on the rack and all my extras are tucked away in the closet.

I only recently unhooked it actually. In favor of my N64 haha.

gimme your nook

nope : )

Yeah, they took a little bit of searching to get for a good deal. I had to settle for unboxed ones unfortunately.

I honestly don't think I could handle it. I guess I am to used to making my whole house the gaming room.

Although I know I will eventually be given only one room for my stuff, and I am definitely taking your controller rack idea.

Nice room. My gaming room is also my bedroom, so I know how hard it can be to set up. It's difficult to get everything functional, and still be tidy. I'm actually away from home right now, but when I get back in July I'm going to be moving. This will be a nice opportunity to reorganize, I may steal your controller rack idea :D

As a few others have said, it's very hard to have an organized game room/ bedroom, so you've definately got a nice hookup. I know this because my own room is always super messy, with all the consoles, games and cords all around. I could never fit a chair or couch in mine so everyone just sits on the bed. Your room looks very roomy, I like that :). I also like the controller rack idea, though I doubt I would go with it myself. The only thing that I don't really like is the wall color, but hey, at least it matches the 360 :D (and differs from plain white). It's just a minor detail, I would definitely love to do some gaming in your room, since everything's so accessible and nice.

Yeah, the colour's not for everybody but I love it haha.

Seriously, I think that the controller rack is the best storage/display solution I've seen in a long time. I will definitely be doing that myself. Great job!

Looks like you put a lot of work into that setup, nice work. Question, though, won't the controllers' connections to their wires start to get damaged over time hanging like that? Would be a shame to see those controllers break for as cool as that rack looks.

hm, i hadn't considered that. i think for the most part, the controllers will be light enough that it won't be an issue. i can't see the master system controller, for example, being heavy enough to cause any damage. the dreamcast controller does seem to hang a little low though, i'll have to keep an eye on that.

very niiiiiiiiiice. I recognize the Advent speaker(s), but what's the receiver? I'm tempted to think it's a Yamaha.

You'd be tempted to think right! Receiver and CD changer are both Yamaha while the turntable is a Pro Linear. And yeah, it's just the one Advent speaker, the mate is currently blown so I'm stuck with a little ESM until I get around to fixing it.

I almost said Yamaha for the CD changer too. Funny. I wouldn't have guessed Pro Linear for the 'table, though. Is that a Canada-only name? Kinda has the look of a low-end Teac or Audio-Technica. I hope that Advent gets fixed soon.

Back to the rest of the room: love the wall-mount shelves. Must get some myself once I decide whether to paint my room or not.

Could be Canada only, i honestly don't know much about the brand, I was on a bit of a budget when i bought it. Works well enough though. And yeah, i found bookshelves didn't fit the room very well, and I think in the case of games, custom shelving is the way to go. Most shelves usually leave you with a lot of empty space yet fewer shelves, so this way i can easily fit my almost 500 games into a very compact space.
