Neat list.

Amazing how that Gulf War damaged GameBoy works after whatever the hell it went through and by the looks of it, one big explosion. Try and do that with a PSP nowadays. The PSP would break before you blew it up. LOL

The blood testing one is just demented. All you have to do is tell the diabetic child they could die if they dont keep an eye on their blood sugar. Dont sugar coat it with video games. Next thing you know the kid is unconscious from blood loss due to them wanting too many points in that game.

Interesting stuff. Although some like the sewing machine connection are kind of pointless lol.

I love the sewing machine adaptation. One day all of our appliances\devices\etc. will be controlled through a portable central processor (iphone?) and it's crap like this that makes me realize that that day is getting closer.

you know, I really freakin' hate it that the gulf war gameboy can keep its screen perfect without the disappearing line trick and I keep mine in a closet locked up in perfect mint condition and the screen looks like shit. :bad-words:

Not to mention the fact that no matter how meticulously I care for the touch screen on my DS, it still scuffs Grrrr....

That brick (literally) game boy is awesome. I'm imagining an über classy game room with a fireplace that has that as it's mantle's centerpiece.

Actually, if you look closely, it does have a pixel thick horizontal line running through the middle of the screen. That should make you feel a bit better. :)

I used to have the cart that ran the sewing machine, but it got stolen in a burglary. Then six months later my sister-in-law wound up inheriting the whole Izek setup (no box, but otherwise complete) from a deceased relative. I've expressed my interest in taking it off her hands and she insists she's going to use it one of these days but hasn't done so yet. It's just a matter of time before she gives up on the idea and hands it over.

Thanx for the info. I have the smelling one. I could never find any info on it. I didn't even know what it was or why it hooked to a gameboy.

I have the instruction book for the Izek sewing machine. It's a big bitch with all kinds of patterns and shit in it.

As a side note, I once used a sewing machine with no needle in it on a gb color in Mario Tennis. You had to hit the button 250 times per minute or something in order to win a golden racket or something. I attached my finger to where the needle went and tapped away. GB Color games didn't have turbo fire back then, as most handhelds don't, and GBC emulation I don't think was common then.

It's odd that they have a photoshopped image and some homemade things included on the list. I've seen people make functional robots and oscilloscopes out of gameboys. Far more interesting than a lego gameboy at least.

After seeing the "War Boy", I have to guess what it feels like when you play...

Hardened Jell-o anyone? :puke:

Those Gameboy bricks are pretty bitchin'. Need to get a few of 'em. Not to build anything, just to have them.

Although a house made entirely out of those would be pretty damn sweet.

No offense, but damn that "article" is filled with clutter/ads/crap. It's like a picture and two sentences of "content" surrounded by pages of garbage. The fact that each and every entry is on its own page reveals the heart behind the site.

Here's one GB accessory your article didn't mention. It's probably my favorite too.
