Well, I usually hate Flea Markets because I end up leaving empty-handed, but I found one in rural Georgia that was open today. It was so junky... and so many Beanie Babies! Usually the sign of death...

Then I came upon a booth where my eyes began to water. This chick who did not care one bit about what she was selling stared bug-eyed at me when I came up to the counter with all this stuff...

I blew a great big wad of cash, but I’m thrilled with the haul… I'll be busy this weekend!

cripes, man! That's a huge find right there.

Although, since you have it, I have to ask if XeXyl is any good, I found it complete at a church yard sale with some 8-track tapes, heh. It's sealed so I didn't want to open it unless it was an actual fun game. You're the only other person I know that has it now, LOL

Great find, that never happens around here. Was the girl selling the stuff as hers or was it her brother, boyfriend, didnt care to ask? Probably someone heading off to college and needed some money.

also what did the 2 ogre games run you and worms is friggin awesome

I had it at one point and found it amusing enough, it's part platformer part shooter, literally, as every other stage has you either jumping around on land or riding a space ship. The bosses were pretty detailed for 8-bit... I'm looking for a loose cart of this myself. Can someone else verify it's common enough to be harmless in opening a sealed copy?

I think she was an employee of the flea market as she said that "she didn't work back here very often." Maybe booth renters can hire staff or something to man their booths.

Oops... posted Tactic Ogre twice. Only one copy! It was one of the few $20 games, along with...

Einhander
Grandia
Valkyrie Profile

oh and Guilty Gear was $15... never see that one in the wild!

I have no idea what I'll play first... I hope my old PSX is up to the challenge!

I'm fairly sure Xexyz is no more than a 3/$5 on the rarity list, but I don't have my guide here in front of me.

Weird... every flea in my area would have seen other dealers yoink all of that stuff and mark it up 300% before it even opened.

There's a large building near here that used to house a department store called The Big Wheel. They went out of business probably a decade or more ago but for the last several years, it's been the home for a weekly flea market held every Sunday. I haven't been there in awhile (I scored a nice ColecoVision there once along with a steering wheel controller and a few PSX games) but I haven't been there in months. Maybe I'll go this weekend since I'm off...

I think all the stuff just came in today... you don't see many flea markets open on a Friday... usually just Saturday and Sunday. The place was still opening up when I arrived. I wish I could have got more, but I had to draw the line somewhere, plus I got all the NES games she had plus most (if not all) of the good PSX games.

This was indeed a wormhole to an alternate universe.

Holy crap. I couldn't imagine being the clueless girl behind the counter when someone walks up with 30 NES games and 53 PSOne games. WOW.

i love scuzzy flea markets! give me a dirt lot mart full of crap anyday over an indoor redneck mall. when you find the flea market where the basement cleanout, eviction and trash picking sellers are you have the golden key. i'll never forget the day i bought 40 boxed INTV games in a bag that had used napkins and chicken bones in it...ahhh boxed truckin'

okay, chris, you're local to me. Where are those fleas in this area? All I find are the beaniebaby incense selling nike ripoff established dealer fleas where you find little and what little you find is 10x market price.

Wow!,,,How'd you carry all that?

Great Find..Congrats..

Every first Sunday of the month we have a Very Crappy Flea market in my area..
But I can say..I always find several great VG deals and I always come away carrying a box of misc video games.

Everthing else is usually the dustiess crap that should of met the garbage can a long time ago.

Being a huge fan of scoring at flea marts(I have scored nearly 70 percent of my 2000+ collection at flea marts) I congrats you for your rad find. Scores like this are harder to find, however they do happen.......and I am glad a gamer got to score! It seems more and more that people are selling their goods online.....even though I dont blame them, its takes the magic out of going to a junky dirty flea mart......only to find some rad games!!!!!

chad...in Boston, I've found some decent stuff at the Uphams Corner flea. Just take the red line to Andrew and walk toward Uphams Corner. Most merchants in Uphams will know where the flea is at. I recommend against carrying anything of value, hehe (actually, only joking, Uphams is sorta ghetto but everyone I've met there has been really nice - I walked up Columbia to Grove though and damn, that is one poor area). My best score was a Japanese Saturn w/ games there, though there are Ataris and NES' and all that. There's the Revere flea, also, but the wierd guy with the beard and the games in crappy condition buys everything up, I think.

Now if only I could find myself a 28 dollar Neo Geo or an unreleased Star Wars proto like the other Boston crew have found...
