I Want Streets Of Rage 4!

I have been heavily thinking about this, and if I really had the resources/dev kit/knowledge, I'd be working on SOR4 myself. I've thought up so many awesome ideas that would put this game back on the map, it would make an ideal PSN/XBLA/VC game. I was curious though, other than to satiate my selfish desire to revive/relive one of my favorite games growing up, would anyone else like to see this come to life? If so, what would you like to see? And what would they need to eliminate? I'd say SOR 2 was the best one all around, so I'd personally use that as somewhat of a schematic.

I'd love to see it as well...just without the rollerblades. I'm not sure what gimmic they could use for one of their characters this go around...for some sick reason a segway comes to mind.

If you learn how to use the Beats of Rage engine, you could likely design a really kickass one.

Wow, that looks like a pretty interesting remake.

As far as making Streets of Rage 4 I can't count all of the time's I've seen projects start and never finish, I can't even think of one that has ever finished. I think some have come close... but none have ever looked all that great to me in the first place. Maybe a few BOR mods have come out but I find BOR to be the same old thing over and over with different sprites.

In all honesty I don't get excited anymore to hear that someone wants to start a project for SOR4. I enjoyed Streets of Rage when it came out and I'll sit down once in a while to play it to get that nostalgic feel, but it's a dated game and something really new and interesting would have to be in SOR4 to keep me hyped about it. As good as SOR2 was I don't want to play it again with new levels and sprites, I want to have a new experience.

I would love to see a SOR 4 on XBL or something like that. Do the graphics with kind of a cell shaded style. It would be grand.

Hey yo...that would be a dream to have another SOR game. Those were awesome games back then. I still play them today.

I, too, would love to see a real Streets of Rage 4 but I'm cool as of right now since BomberGames made their "Streets of Rage Remake" and it was, for all intents and purposes, a real follow up to the SoR series on the Genesis. Even as good as the Remake was, the new they are working on (or SoR part 5 as I like to think of it) is even MORE awesome! Try out the Remake and see how it really does feel like another great entry in the series....

SoR 5 can't come quick enough now.....

Hmm...I will definitely try this out once I can figure everything out. Ya gotta admire us crazy game fans for wanting to breathe life into our favorite discontinued series'. It's a great idea, but I want a full-on, SF4 esque sequel, where there are many familiarities to the older games but at the same time there is something fresh and new for everyone, old and newcomers alike.
