OK, I need help. Fantasy Zone SMS. What the hell am I doing?

I've gotten to the boss but cant seem to do jack with him. The wood-head guy that spits at you. I have no clue if I'm damaging him or what. Anyone familiar with FZ that might know better? I tried a few FAQ and help sites to no avail.

I remember shooting into his mouth or eyes and just dodging the bullets he vomits at you. Tree-trunk guy, right? Should die eventually.

ahhh, the mouth. well, having 7 seconds of laser left when he appeared helped too.

any tips or hints you could give a FZ newbie? Now that I know you can destroy the bases, and in fact that is the entire purpose of the level, the game became more fun. Still hard as all hell though.

Hmmm... Maybe Joe should have put the Fantasy Zone preliminary site online.
It could have helped.

Remember, get yourself Twin Bombs, Big wings, and a controller with rapid fire. Don't waste your money buying special weapons untill at least the ice level, when you'll start needing them.
