Yes, it's a Japanese game that will probably never come out in the US because of the anime characters in it. You can play it (and other imports) if you have the Homebrew Channel installed on your Wii. And yes, you can use the GC controller.

I don't have it installed on my Wii, but I've heard it's pretty easy.

There is a lot of info here:

Actually it's the next installment that's getting a western release.

Actually it's the next installment that's getting a western release.

I must admit, i only have my info from wikipedia. It only mentions that it's getting a western release, not that it's a next installment. The cover they show says "Cover of the North American Wii version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars."

Whatever it is, I'm excited! I mean- Keyop vs Viewtiful Joe! How bizarre! How cool (",)

The US version has 4 new characters, including Frank West from "Dead Rising".

Picked up the US version. Nice to see this kind of thing from Capcom on the Wii (and localized for the US) ... hopefully it sells well.

I do have one gripe ...

... when you're connecting to an online multiplayer match it shows "tips" screens/slides detailing things about the online mode ...

... and one of those screens has a bold title that says *DISCONNECTED FROM ONLINE (the slide details that if you DO disconnect from online mode multiple times that you should check your internet connection and that you may lose points, etc.)

I SWEAR that I must have exited connecting from an online match five times THINKING that that slide was telling me that I actually DID disconnect from online before I realized that it was JUST A SLIDE explaining what happens if you DO disconnect.
