Now that the "room of doom/collections" section is back online,i managed to upload my new pics of my Sega Master System European fullset, with addition of the American Exclusives (Alf,Monetzuma's Revenge, that kind of stuff..), Brazilian exclusives (Street Fighter 2',Mortal Kombat 3,etc..) and Australian exclusives (4 PAK All Action comes to mind)

All are CIB,i have some doubles, some extras (insanely rare Mak-Jong or Donald Duck Lucky Dime Caper Deluxe Pack),etc..That's 400 titles!

I managed too to upload newest pics of my CIB Famicom collection..i have approx. 700 games, like 390 to go for the fullset :)

I still have to make pics of my Famicom Disk system fullset as well

Enjoy!

Very impressive. The only console I ever managed to collect the full set for was the US Sega Master System. All 114 games. What you've accomplished is envious. Congratulations!

What was the hardest game for you to find in the European collection? Smurfs 2?

Adol

Smurfs 2 is probably the less produced and more expensive (well,Mak-Jong is even more, but it's not an european game.
But i find some other games don't appear much as well: Masters of Combat is a good example.

Nice set, Adol. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I'll definitely save those for reference! I know you have some Mark III games...how come you didn't include those? There are plenty of exclusives there, and the packaging is just so nice.

How are you displaying these?

Adol

Because Mark III has its very own album,i made pictures more than 5 years ago.
The whole album is here:

http://www.videogamecollectors.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=6898

Or when you're in the SMS file, click on upper left side:"Adol's Collection", on the "root" so you can go back on the whole album and choose the system you're interested in

Wow, with Great Ice Hockey and everything. Awesome. Why do you have those SG-1000 My Cards there along with all the other Mark III card games?

Adol
04-26-2009, 04:52 PM
Because they can be played on Mark 3

Do you make frequent trips to Japan or do you do most of this through the mail?

Adol
04-26-2009, 04:58 PM
I haven't been in Japan for now more than TEN years.
Then no,only through mail
It'd have been way easier to find stuff if i was a japan resident,or if i was travelling a lot there.
But no,i'm not.

So, I see. 1,090 is only the cartridge games, not disks (full set being 1,249 games).

Well,some magazines say it's 1252..so it's about 1060 games,in fact.
but i already own the Famicom Disk System fullset (190 games),i just need the carts, and i'll have all Nintendo home-based system games ever made from 1983 to 2007 (from Famicom to Gamecube)

Go there:
http://www.smspower.org/museum/lists/smsall.txt

and pick up the titles with just "USA" on nationality column, and you get your answer.
It's:
Alf
Astro Warrior (came out in Brazil, but well, not in Europe,so i counted it as exclusive)
Great Ice Hockey
Great Soccer (came out in Brazil, but well, not in Europe,so i counted it as exclusive)
Hang On/Astro Warrior
Hang On/Safari Hunt
James "Buster" Douglas Knockout Boxing
King's Quest - Quest for the Crown
Marksman Shooting & Trap Shooting
Montezuma's Revenge - Featuring Panama Joe
Rambo - First Blood Part II
Reggie Jackson Baseball
Sports Pad Football
Walter Payton Football
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (came out in Brazil, but well, not in Europe,so i counted it as exclusive)

Not very familiar with SMS, but I know Rambo was released in Japan and Europe under different titles, possibly the sports games as well.

Yeah, almost all the games on that list were repurposed for America (other than Montezuma's Revenge, King's Quest, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? and Alf, which are all America only). Astro Warrior, Sports Pad Football, Great Soccer and (kind of) Great Ice Hockey, were all released for the Mark III in Japan under the same name. The other games, though, were modified both in title and content for America (ie. American Baseball becomes Reggie Jackson Baseball, American Pro Football becomes Walter Payton Football, Heavyweight Champ becomes James "Buster" Douglas Knockout Boxing, Ashura/Secret Command(o) becomes Rambo). Hang-on was released separately in Europe and Japan, but only found in the bundle in America. Marksman Shooting/Trap Shooting/Safari Hunt was a three pack in Europe, but released in two separate bundles (Hang-on/Safari Hunt and Marksman Shooting/Trap Shooting) in America. Confused yet?! :)

I think he is laughing because he thinks you were rejecting me and don't want me in your house.

I did not interpret what you said that way, I thought you meant that you were busy or hard to get to, and you doubt that we would find time to meet up.

Either way is fine, just clarifying for you.

So i think it'd be hard to you to visit me.
