OK, I'm ashamed to admit this, but I've had a 3D Imager for the Vectrex for over a year and never gotten it working. I tried it initially after I bought it, figured something just wasn't set up right, and never got back around to it.
Here's what happens. I have the Imager plugged into the left port. The Vectrex screen comes on for a few seconds, then the game title screen, then the Imager starts spinning the wheel like mad, but the Vectrex doesn't display ANYTHING! The fact that the imager is spinning like it's supposed to makes me think this probably isn't anything major, but I really don't know. Any ideas out there?
Could the Vectrex itself be my problem? It works with everything else I've thrown at it.

What game are you using? Maybe something's wrong w/ the cart.

Yeah. There are TWO different wheels for the Imager. It sounds like you've got the wrong wheel for the game.
3D Minestorm wheel = 3D Minestorm
The "other" wheel = all other 3D titles

I'm going to give it another shot this afternoon since it was late when I tired it out, but I have all 3 carts, and all 3 wheels, and got the same result on all of them. I'm making getting this thing to work my "mission" for the weekend I think.

I presume you've tried looking through the imager? From what I recall I couldn't see anything on the Vectrex whilst it was going, only through the visor... though that was a long time ago! Must dig it out and have another look...

make sure its in the correct joystick port, make sure you are using a 3d game, make sure you have a color wheel in the imager, and make sure the brightness is turned up enough so you can see the screen.
if you try all of those things and it still doesnt work, then i would try it on a different vectrex.

Well, I've tried it with all 3 of the 3D games, and I'm certain I had the right whell in the Imager each time. I have the Imager in the left port and controller in the right. On all 3 games I get the title for the game to appear, then the whell in the imager begins to spojn. At the same time, the pitch of the hum that the Vectrex makes goes up quite a bit. I *REALLY* think this is probably a problem with the Vectrex, and am considering picking another up off of eBay to test that theory. I even had the lights off in the room so it was fairly dark, and the brightness on the Vectrex cranked up most of the way.
Thanks for all of the suggestions though, I appreciate the help.
