Hello! Glad to find this forum! :D
I was doing some house cleaning today and ran across my old Vectrex systems, I have two of them. One works perfectly and the other makes a squealing sound, the built in game loads and has sound, but the picture is blank. Something is loose inside because a light tap brings the picture back on the screen momentarily. I know an electronics guy and I'll take it to him to have a look at. It seems like it's just the connector to the CRT is loose or corroded. The controllers are in perfect condition and I also have the light pen. Everything seems to work except for the CRT on the one.
I bought the unit new many years ago and when they were discontinued, I bought another one as a spare. I also bought every single game I could find since they were all discounted. I have most (if not all) the boxes, instructions and overlays. I also have one box that the vectrex came in.
I was reading something about a rarity scale, where do I find it for my games? I have the following games:
webwars
armor attack
clean sweep
cosmic chasm (2)
rip off (2)
berzerk (2)
hyperchase
solar quest (2)
star castle
blitz
fortress of narzod
spike
art master
animaction
starhawk
melody master
Since I never play the system and haven't in over 20 years, I've been thinking about selling it all. How much should I expect to sell everything for?
