It was raining all weekend, so I decided to put some projects on hold and play some videogames. I downloaded a bunch of demos and was surprised to really dig Ninja Blade. It's developed by From Software, the folks who developed the Otogi series for Xbox.

Even though some media outlets pegged it as a Ninja Gaiden clone, it feels a lot more like Otogi, which I fuckin' love! Anyone pick this up? If so, what do you think? I'm probably going to snag a copy within the next few weeks.

I was also surprised by this game and Wheelman when I dl'ed the demos. I've played it and like it myself. Really liked Otogi also. Ninja Blade seems like a super awesome over the top ninja movie. Does not seem like it is a long game. Doesn't have to be though.

I found it funny that it was pretty much dismissed as a Ninja Gaiden clone. Makes me wonder if the reviewers even played the game at all. Devil May Cry is more like Ninja Gaiden. Just because it has the word "Ninja" in the title doesn't make it a clone. Damn Ninja Golf and it's wanna be Ninja Gaiden ass.

Off topic but this reminds me that I really want to check out the new Wolverine game. Looked cool to me.

@ Maxlords

From the little I've played it's awesome- awesome enough to pick up for sure. If you like Otogi, chances are you'll want to give this a look. But again, I've only played a demo.

I thought the demo was really cool and I would like to get it when I have an extra $60 to spend

Played the demo on my friends 360 awhile ago and thought it was pretty good. Since I only have a PS3 now I won't be picking it up, but here's hoping From Software decides to port it.

Be a long shot. Game was published by Microsoft.
