I got a Burger Time for 2600 the other day and it will show the graphics but it will not play. So I'm thinking if I can get in there and give it a little hows your father, It might work. But I can't figure how to get in there. I think most 2600 games have 1 screw under the sticker. Which sucks! But this is a M Network game. Long black with a diagonal top and a big bottom. Like Astromash or Kool-aid man. I think it's just held together with clips? I don't want to break it. Anyone know anything about how to get in to any of them?

Also, I'd like to know how to get in -- got a DK Jr cart that I think needs some work. Obviously, I don't want to hurt the sticker if at all possible.

There is a screw under the label that must come out. So, unless you can peel off the entire label, you're gonna put a hole in it.
The M Network games are actually in Intellivision shells with an Atari adapter on the end. So you need to know how to open an Intelly cart to get that Burgertime cart open.

For carts that have screws, you can heat up the label with a hairdryer and carefully peel it off. Just do it carefully, doing your best not to damage it, and hope for the best. If you must open one, that's all you can do really.

If you clean the contacts and it still doesn't work, then the chip inside is most likely toast.
After the contacts, another possibility is a bad solder joint.

On one side of the cart where the intellivision shell meets the bigger base that holds the circuit board, you will see two tabs that are locking the two plastic pieces together. Basically, you need to put a screwdriver (two at once, one for each tab, is easiest) in to push the tabs so you can pull the two pieces apart. I put the screwdrivers inside at the base of the care, parallel with the circuit board. Be careful because the plastic on the outside of the cart is easily stressed and will lighten in color. It is difficult to get the cart open without stressing the plastic. If that wasn't clear, I could try to get a picture later of how you open M-Network carts.
Also, it sounds like the cart is toast and died of old age and or cheap manufacture. I had a brand new Bump n Jump die on me a few months back, and in the thread I made I think someone said they had a Burgertime die on them back in the 80's when it was new.

Burgertime uses a special 2 kilobyte ram chip. If the cart is showing graphics but not playing, this chip is what is causing the problem. Have fun trying to find a replacement chip!
I wouldn't bother opening it, it's just Burgertime.
