Since AVGN has his own thread I figured that I'd start one up for Yahtzee.

It's my favorite of the year so far.

I enjoy Zero Punctuation. You have to bring the right attitude to listening to Yahtzee, as he will mercilessly skewer some of the most beloved franchises out there. If you're easily offended by hearing a game you like picked apart, then it's not for you.

I enjoyed his recent review for HAWX.
"HAWX is a flight simulation in the same sense that Space Invaders is a simulator for tactical warfare."
"From ludicrously fast to 'there is a mosquito-shaped hole in my teeth'"
"I think it would have been more credible if the enemies were an army of disgruntled insect people from the Earth's core........ wearing silly hats."


Also, since the thread is about Yahtzee too, I want to say that his four point-and-click adventure games are fantastic and a great tribute to the genre. I'm talking about 5 Days a Stranger, 7 Days a Skeptic, Trilby's Notes, and 6 Days a Sacrifice.

I like this guy in small doses, but he schtick is more repetitive to me than AVGN's.

Yahtzee is awesome, I even find myself rewatching his videos from time to time. Sonic Unleashed is probably my favourite of his recent ones.

I'm not sure how many people here watch the Zero Punctuation reviews, but I really enjoy them. I don't always agree with him, but he is very funny. If you haven't seen them, check 'em out here:

I think the guy's just an asshole and I stopped watching him.

I love his Sonic Unleashed review and how he latched onto "the old Sonic games were GOOD" without bothering to tell WHY they were good. Yet in another review he made it a point to tell us how much he preferred Twilight Princess to Ocarina of Time because "nostaligia doesn't make a game good". At least he could keep his BS consistent.

But this is a problem with anyone forced to review NEW media on a schedule. He plays it for an hour and decides he hates it.

Unless the company in question gives him a free tour of their offices, in which case he kisses butt.

He's an unfunny, "mean because I can" version of Dr. Ashen.

Crikey, he's said good things about games other than The Orange Box. And even that one wasn't entirely positive.

Yahtzee bored me. I mean, sometimes he goes overboard with the insults, and I don't feel like he describes why the games are flawed. He's got good wit, but he just got repetitive and stale. :(

I love him, he's the only game review series I watch at all. The GH3 review was probably my favourite one.

And he was positive about Fallout 3... somewhat.

He has a good sense of humor and not look at game based on hype. A lot of his comments are right on.

I love Zero Punctuation. AVGN is great too, but not near as funny as ZP. The animations are what makes it so hilarious. I still think the Orange Box review was the best one of the bunch, but his newest stuff is coming back on strong after a bit of a lull.

My favorite is the next gen console one. Thought it was great he throws in his rant about fan appeasment at the end of each vid now. Always loved that bit. :)

Hi-larious. That is pretty much exactly what I've been thinking that 3D Realms has been doing for 12 years, sitting at their desk twiddling their lips and collecting money.

But fortunately, that isn't the case and DNF is a radiant masterpiece. I can't wait to take Duke on his journey of self-discovery from Stockholm to the outer reaches of the universe, and cook for martians on the moon.

I like the fact that he still reviews games that he likes. They aren't as funny but I know that it's a good game.

I thought this one was hilarious. This one and Duke Nukem Forever are the funniest ones he's done so far this year, to me.

I mean, yeah any negative words about Uncharted 2 make me want to cry, but it's Yahtzee. I'm used to it.

There are sometimes pauses at the ends of a sentence that are atleast a second or two long. Should change his name to Rarely Punctuated.

I feel the same way, but it must get tiresome having to come up with a new screed every week. While we're at it, the shtick itself gets tiresome to watch: I took a few months off from ZP and found it to be much more enjoyable when I returned.

His Duke Nukem Forever video sucked. They seem better when you actually know what it's supposed to be about. In Duke Nukem's case, it was supposed to be about everything and it just was boring to watch.
