I know this game has been out for a very long time but damn its addicting.I have been addicted to Tf2 so much on the pc that sometimes I lose track of time , sometimes I lose track and I could play a single match for up to 6 hours. I was previously addicted to the Xbox 360 version of the game however the pc version gets quicker updates and has more people playing in a single match(2 reasons I opted to buy the pc version).

Got linux or a mac? http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxgames/ this makes it playable on either if you got a good video card.
Tried it myself runs the game just fine except you don't get the best graphics possible , i prefer running bootcamp xp partition myself instead.

On steam? Add castlevaniacreed22 if you'd like to.

Best reason to not to play the xbox 360 version is shown in this video.

TF2 is hacked so much on Xbox 360 that its not even worth playing. Better off playing the pc version.

I love the game and played it quite a bit through Orange Box on 360. Recently I've taken a hiatus for Broken Steel/Pitt/Operation Anchorage, Skate 2, Star Ocean, and RE5...will hopefully get back into it when I get bored of those and hit you up then.

I wish they would re-release Team Fortress Classic as a 360 XBLA title, though...can't beat the original!

I play every now and then on 360, the only problem is that nobody else does. Not a single PC update has come to the 360. I really want that "Play with seven friends" achievement too.

I'd like to, but the 360 version blows and steam doesn't work on linux.

This is another reminder that I really need to open my 360 copy of The Orange Box.

At least once a day. I've joined a certain server group and became a regular there.

Problem is valve isn't very focused on their console ports since Ea did them and microsoft sometimes forces valve to charge for content that is meant to be free. Valve adds free updates to the pc version such as maps and weapons however other entities get in the way of valve porting their updates to consoles.

Good luck downloading 8 GB of data before the weekend finishes. :P

Also, I'm not playing the game anymore, at least not since this latest change. They took out the unlockable items, giving them to you at random. So half the fun of the game for me (winning the items) is gone. :|

And I want to earn my jar of piss projectile, not pick it up at random!

Yeah I know what you mean , I wanted to spend my time earning the heavys special weapons. Though the huge influx of spies and snipers on the servers make the game hilariously easy for pyros to get huge amount of kills.

I still play, although I agree that the change to the item drops is pretty dumb. My steam name is Killer Rabbit.

You'd think, right? But Sniper's Huntsman is INSANELY POWERFUL.

(Sounds a bit fishy, but I doubt it's an outright lie.)

I am Jorpho on Steam. I should be in the Digital Press Steam group, actually.

Think about it. The 360 has 512MB of RAM. They have to squeeze all the player models, sound effects, stage layouts, special effects, and -voice samples- into RAM.

Team Fortress 2 requires 8 GB of space on the PC.

If the 360 had like a Gig of RAM, then maybe they could squeeze everything in, but you can't really do everything without having a hard drive to read data from. And you can't have a game that requires a mandatory HD install on the 360... I don't think, anyway. If they could install to HD then maybe they could pull it off.

I played TF in the late 90s and tried TF2 last year, but couldn't figure out what was going on. I just stick to source, but I guess I should try TF2 again since so many people love it. My name is g97

Nate, go to the HK Central Newbies Only (http://hkcentral.darkstargamers.com/) servers. The admins and a majority of the players who hang there are pretty awesome, and even though some very skilled players go there, the people are friendly and welcoming to newcomers to the game (as long as you're not an idiot and follow their rules: No setup killing on maps that allow it, no racism, no mic spamming, no excessive idling, and no speed / aimbot hacking.)

SegaAges

I have it installed and updated. If some of you are on, I should hop on and play it some.

I started playing UT 2004 a few days ago, and was playing some team dm and these guys managed to somehow kill me in 2 shots max even with the weak weapons, so a server that is against aimbots is right in my alley for TF2.

My Steam name is SegaAges

Up until last week...TF2 was hitting maximum concurrency numbers of 32,000 players; over Memorial Day weekend, however, that more than doubled to 68,000. (The single best sales day was also last weekend.)

Goodnews there is some random drops for items but they fixed milestones finally so you can get items by achievements still.

Im gonna be off topic in my own topic but everyone that owns tf2 or half life 2 must play golden eye source. Its free to play and Im having so much fun with it , whens the last time you got something awesome for free?

Its fun but its not the whole package , right now its multiplayer only with no campaign. I still think its fun however the respawning and death rate is pretty high (which I find to be the only drag)

http://www.destructoid.com/new-team-fortress-2-update-has-no-class-whatsoever-143953.phtml

Valve Just released a classless update for tf2 , the update is basically a selection of new hats. I been playing for the longest time and still havent gotten any of the newer hats.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HWwQmQKnG8 (hat list)

Anyways Id like to welcome anyone interested in a good game of tf2 to the Wearenoobz server. The noobz roster is rather friendly and mature , there are very few trolls.

I haven't played in a while, been too busy with WoW and other things. I do loves me some Pyro though, even though I suck royally at playing TF2. I do always have Steam running in the background though, my cousins and I regularly make use of the chat function. ;)

Play team fortress 2 for the weekend for free to try out plus you can download it off steam for half price this weekend for a mere 10 dollars!

Also anyone that is still playing what does everyone think of the new updates? The soldiers direct hit rocket launcher which causes extra damage but requires the user to have good accuracy, I personally think its a awesome weapon though I can imagine it getting gimped pretty soon. Or the demomans eyelander sword? (That sword is fucking cheap) Other new items include demoman sticky resistance gun , soldiers pick axe , demoman sword and shield , soldiers steel boots. Oh yeah I almost forgot , there is a rumor you will have the ability craft items via use of the class tokens you get from item drop. Thoughts of that?

(That sword is fucking cheap)

Not if you know what you're doing.

Pyro: Airblast their ass away
Scout: Jump over them, or use the Force'a Nature to push them away
Doctor: Your saw has bigger priority than the sword
Heavy: Shoot their ass
Sniper: Jarate then Kukri
Soldier: Aim at their feet
Spy: Shoot at them
Engie: Shotgun
Demo: Yeah, you're screwed.

A lot of Eyelander users just charge with the sword instead of thinking what to do. They're too busy trying to lop your head off to notice anything else. Use that to your advantage.

The sword and shield demos are easy as hell to kill with a shotgun or other bullet weapon. Forget using rockets or grenades or fire on them.
