Hey all, long time =). Well i got the PCB board i was looking for... The thing is there seems to be a problem with it as the seller explains...

"It seems to have some dirty connections because you have to reseat the daughter board to get it to work once in awhile. SEE PICS below! What you SEE is what you get!"
I emailed him about this he stated

"I would try maybe some contact cleaner in the daughter board connectors. Once you get the board, if you see garbage in the background or the game won't boot, just wiggle or reseat the daughter board and the game plays fine (as you can see in the auction photos). Once the board is installed, you shouldn't have any problems. It just the getting bounced around in shipping that I'm concerned about.
*i know this is a newb question* but what is a daughter board? Is this a huge problem? has anyone ever encountered this before?

A daughter board is a board that mounts to your main PCB (circuit board). A lot of older pcb's have similar problems, it's usually not a big deal. Could be a bad solder joint, or just garbage in/on the connecting pins. Either way, it's repirable, as long as the game DOES work after you play around with the daughter board. That indicates that the game ROM's are good, it's just a poor connection.

Nice grab! I just barely missed out on his Dimahoo board, should have bid higher. I just recently traded off My RF2 for an Xbox 360 bundle, but it's definitely a cool little shmup that will keep you entertained for a very long time.

Yeah i noticed with a lot of these eBay auction you have to wait till the last 40 seconds and bid high... i lost 2 other auction for the same PCB board in the last 8 seconds... so you can see how these things work.
