Greatest hits / player's choice sticker?

Hi all,

I'm currently in the midst of restarting my gaming collection and just got a question relating to the US PS2 and Gamecube. I noticed that some sealed games have a greatest hits or player's choice sticker slapped onto the front cover, with the outer cover looking exactly the same as the original black label. However, are the inner contents the same as the original edition, or have they been replaced with a greatest hits / player's choice disc?

Usually reps for Sony or Nintendo will put these stickers on non-GH/PC games so they can merchandise them as such. Sometimes employees of the store do it, but not usually.
