Hey howdy everybody. Welcome back to the MMMC! I have to admit, I'm not feeling great right now...so this is gonna be quick. This week's game is the Banpresto fighter (yeah Arasoi, you nominated it twice...I couldn't let that go) Metamoqester. This is classic, old school street fighting. Against monsters that sometimes look like buildings. It has very nice graphics, and simple gameplay. And the second boss is named Titicaca. Yeah, I giggled.

I could not find a KLOV link for this game, so I have the next best thing... a youtube video that goes through a bunch (if not all) the attacks you have in the game.

Awesome! This is a great game to have two players on, and it can be pretty challenging on more than a few bosses (especially the ice boss and the last boss)

I use the female character mostly, because she can crank out her attacks quickest.

I've been playing this on my PSP for awhile now. This is a pretty cool game that I'm sure most people have never even heard of before... probably 'cause of all the Capcom/SNK fighting games that were coming out on a weekly basis.

That being said, I really could never figure it out and the bosses seemed cheap as hell. I'll check out that video link above and see what I've been missing out on :)

Just downloaded it today, tonight we have a mame gettogether more tuesdays so we will give it a run through and report back later.

Ok so, we have played it.. reviewed it.. and here it is !\

SDK says : "The graphical style was pretty crisp and detailed and the bosses were creative but the fighting itself was unfair at times with their cheap attacks (this is to be expected ofcourse, since it is designed to suck coins out of kids).. some bosses further into the game were easier than earlier ones, so I don't think the difficulty was very well balanced either."

Vor][ex says : Ok so if I had to pay $1 each credit, i think it was pretty easy to swallow $75 ! so for all you rich asian out there i guess its a little better value than some of the others out there. As for special moves, didnt really find any that worked, It took ages to deafeat some bosses and others were easier. As SDK said, the greaphical style was good, its a fresh perpective on the VS games. The only thing that would have been better was a decent Ending sequence, there was nothing but 2 guys standing there stareing into space! We made up our own dialogue Which went as follows .......


" So..... we got our ass kicked by those giant bosses and a pink baby, what do you wanna do now?

" Pizza? "

" sure thing.. your shout. "

SDK Final words : "Oh yeah and only 3 selectable characters was pretty poor for variety's sake and it would've been sweet to be able to somehow play the bosses, even in some secret mode."

I'm just flat out no damn good at this game. Of course, I'm just flat out no damn good at most fighting games. I do find the bosses extremely entertaining though, and will definitely keep this in my rotation of games long after this week is done.

So, for giggles...and because I like screenshots. Is there any way we can fill some posts in this thread with some pics of all the different bosses you can face? Like I said before, I've only seen two.

Also, we need a list of game to choose from for next week!! So, give me some ideas when you post for the rest of the week.

As long as we're on the subject I'd give Meta 7 out of ten, the AI is so mean it gets 3 points taken off basically, but its still a heck of a lot of fun.

Playing a 2d fighter with a keyboard just not cutting it, I will hunt my game pad and come back with more details. From what I have seen though, I think this is an idea that could be wonderfully expanded upon.

Hey guys, quick update... I've been battling a nasty cold for a while now, and I completely spaced out that last night was Sunday. Meaning today was Monday. So obviously, there's not a Monday Morning game.

I apologize for the mistake...but it does give me this chance. We need a game to play! So far, the only game even mentioned as a nominee is Black Tiger...which would be fine with me. But if anyone has any other nominees...this is your chance to post them, and then when I get back tonight (probably around 8 PM...or approx. 6 hours from now). I will select randomly from a list of games directly beneath this post, and we'll get things cooking tonight.

Ive got 3200 odd roms in my Mame Cab.

Im really digging letting others select games, there is always a chance ill find a new one to play.. I have a few mates who come over ever Tusday ( monday in the US ) and we watch a few scifi movies, drink a little and play some mame ( yep we are all 30 - 33 yrs ) X gen!
So we love coming on here ill reveiw then SDK can reveiw ( mates )

I try to get lots of people to recommend games every week... Every pick, as long as there are multiple games to choose from, are completely and 100% randomly picked using the random.org number generator. It's not too exciting when there's only 3 games to pick from, but hey...you work with what you've got :)
