I swear I've had nothing but problems with my Sega CD/32X system since I bought it a few months ago.

First I have a hard time tracking down all the parts. Then the adapater dies and I had to buy a new one (luckily there's a former Funcoland, now owned by GameStop, near). Then three copies of Zaxxon refuse to work on my 32X.

NOW I go to resume a game of Vay to find my saves in the internal ram of the unit are gone! Vay is too old to support the backup RAM cart (which I do have), but I did'nt copy anything to the cart as I thought I would'nt need to.

I think at this point I'm going to throw the thing out and just use Gens instead. Even during the fickle 'hold reset' days of the NES I never had problems with saves!

I think you can change the internal battery, and you'll be able to save again.

I had to take apart an older version Sega CD unit the other day..I could of swore I saw a battery in there.
